The JVNY workshop is a collaboration between "Jeunes Virtuoses de New York"and "Fetes Musicales de Savoie". The workshop takes place in Valmorel in the Savoie region of France.
The JVNY Valmorel Workshop consists of two categories:
1) Jeunes Virtuoses de New York (JVNY), a camerata consisting of 12 selected young musicians who work under the direction of artistic director Arik Braude, and perform at “Fêtes musicales de Savoie” in France. Selected JVNY act as mentors for the junior workshop participants.
2) JVNY Junior workshop, a group of younger students who work as an ensemble each morning, and then receive additional chamber music and individual coaching each afternoon. Junior workshop participants perform in the local culture center. They are coached by junior workshop director, Sophie Arbuckle, and JVNY mentors.
