Bargemusic Masterworks series presents Gerald Robbins, piano & Arik Braude, violin with the Braude Ensemble & members of JVNY

Members of the JVNY Ensemble will perform with the Braude Ensemble in the Masterworks series at Bargemusic on Saturday, September 21st at 7PM and on Sunday, September 22nd at 4PM. The program is as follows:

Bach Concerto No. 5 for keyboard and orchestra in f minor, BWV 1056
Mozart Piano Concerto No. 11 in F Major, KV. 413
Mendelssohn Concerto for violin, piano and orchestra

JVNY perform at Ridotto Concerts
Sun, September 29, 4pm – 6pm 

In the brilliant Ridotto concert series which combines music with a touch of theater, JVNY will perform a Beethoven Terzetto, Schubert Allegro, Mozart Rondo in C for violin and orchestra, and Brahms Sextet No. 2. Summer 2013:  JVNY recently returned from their spring 2013 tour in the Savoie region of France presented by "Musique sans frontieres" where they performed concerts in the Savoie region of France.  The tour included the following performances:

  JVNY Benefit Concert took place in the Ginza Church in Tokyo on August 18th & 19th for the victims of the recent earthquake in Japan.  JVNY violinist Hana Mundiya and JVNY workshop participant Rohan Mundiya were the featured artists in a duo concert for the worthy cause.  For more information, please visit http://sportsdesk-skiclub.dreamlog.jp/archives/5111089.html

Agriturismo Rechsteiner presented an evening of JVNY on August 14th.  Just outside of Venice, Italy, the Agriturismo provides a serene environment for musicians to focus in depth on concert preparation.  The program featured JVNY violinist Allyson Tomsky and JVNY workshop participants Oliver & Clara Neubauer in works by Sarasate, Mazas and Leclair.

JVNY will be in residency at the Fetes Musicales de Savoie in France from July 29th to August 8th. 
Programs will include Pergolesi's Stabat Mater on July 29th in Chateauneuf, the Elgar Serenade  along with other works on August 1st in Aussois, and the Ravel Sonata along with other virtuostic selections on August 6th in Valmorel.

Mother's Day Weekend Special Events:
(Mother's Day Special : reduced rate of $30 if coming to both concerts on May 11th and May 13th)

The Braude Ensemble with members of JVNY, along with guest harpsichordist Georges Kiss will collaborate in a program of Bach Concerti at the New Church (114 East 35th Street) in New York City on Friday, May 11th at 8PM.  A few selected JVNY will be invited to participate in this program.  Ticket price:  $20

JVNY Spring Concert with guest harpsichordist Georges Kiss will take place on Sunday, May 13th at 6PM at the West Park Presbyterian Church (165 West 86th Street in NYC) in an exciting program featuring the full ensemble.  Ticket price:  $20

Harpsichordist and FMS artistic director Georges Kiss will give a solo recital and performance practice masterclass on Tuesday, May 15th at 7:30PM at the Mannes College of Music in Goldmark Hall (150 West 85th Street in NYC).  Entrance is free of charge.

-JVNY violinist Blanca Cecilia Gonzalez released her debut album with her group "One in Two" entitled "Creatures Ventures" on March 24th.  "One in Two" is a collaborative art project and this recent album features original music influenced by jazz, classical and experimental art.  The CD is now available for purchase at iTunes, Cdbaby and Amazon.com
